Entrepreneurship has never been about waiting for the perfect time, it’s about building, adjusting, and pressing forward when others slow down.
If you haven’t paid attention, today, September 1, 2025, marks the start of the last third of the year. That’s right, we’ve already powered through about 2/3 of the year, leaving just 1/3 to make a difference. And guess what? The next four months will fly by. September includes the start of school and “Christmas” birthdays followed by Indigenous Peoples’ Day and Halloween next month, and Veterans Day and Thanksgiving the next, and before you know it, it’s Christmas. In the Virgin Islands, Christmas time is full of our own rich celebrations.
As an entrepreneur, these months can feel like both a sprint and a tightrope. Will targets be met? Will customers hold steady? Will costs continue to climb? Can we lean into last-minute deals? That’s particularly true in industries like real estate where seasonal data shows a marked slowdown toward year-end. In fact, December 2024 saw the strongest seasonal cooling in nearly two years. Homes lingered longer on the market, inventory rose, and elevated interest rates added pressure. nypost.com
So, how do you maximize the time that remains? I treat every morning as an opportunity to be better. People know me for website development, but I realized it’s not one of the most profitable offerings for agencies. That’s why we’ve pivoted to value-added services. Our platforms, like Lasinja for payroll and Tambran for board and organizational management, help businesses do more with less. We focus on business process improvement through managed software, and we’re proud to support organizations like the VI Bar Association, VI Board of Education, Island Delivery Service, Clinical Laboratory, and the VI Economic Development Authority.
Every day between now and December is a chance to rewrite the ending of 2025. Entrepreneurship has never been about waiting for the perfect time, it’s about building, adjusting, and pressing forward when others slow down. The question is, will you let the year happen to you, or will you take charge and make the last third of the year your strongest yet?
